Web App Dev I-ST

The Web Applications Developer I plays a critical role in creating and enhancing next-gen digital products across all aspects of Credit Union banking and lending. Your job: develop, implement, and maintain web-based systems and applications, including troubleshooting and solving complicated software issues, collaborate on solutions / improvements for web applications, analyze and integrate new web products/technologies with existing web applications and collaborate with the team to complete assigned development work efforts/initiatives with guidance and supervision.

What you will do here:

Collaborate on the design / architecture of projects to find the best solution to meet project / request requirements. Working with supervision, complete the development, developer testing, implementation of web based applications and integrations using guidelines, templates, standards and procedures meeting the agreed upon architecture / design.

Help troubleshoot and resolve web application issues, working and escalating to include others as needed. Timebox / ask for assistance when needed to ensure development remains on track. Work with supervision and with the team as needed to complete development or resolve issues assigned according to the standards.

Learn, collaborate on and successfully apply development standards, technologies and tools approved for use in the standards. Maintain and grow knowledge of development technologies, industry standards and coding practices. Learn and integrate new technologies and support the implementation of new standards / process changes. Apply standards for code reviews and the SDLC practice using every opportunity as a learning experience.

Follow SDLC processes and participate in Agile / SCRUM meetings, tasking / sizing work, participating to find alternative solutions to meet requirements and escalating issues throughout the sprint. Work with team to breakdown stories if needed to ensure they are sprint sized deliverables and apply effort to ensure stories are completed as agreed upon during the sprint planning sessions.

What you will need:

Associate's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field OR Equivalent combination of education and experience required.

1+ years experience using object oriented programming languages such as C# or Java required.

1+ years experience using scripting languages such as JavaScript and HTML required.

CSS experience preferred.

Experience working in the Credit Union or Financial industry preferred.

Demonstrated competency using HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS required.

Competent in object-oriented programming concepts and best practices and their use in client-side web applications, interfaces and databases required.

Awareness of test driven development, unit test and integration test development preferred.

Ability to participate in and foster an environment that promotes collaboration, the exchange of information and successful accomplishment of shared goals with business stakeholders, IT service peers, and vendor partners required.

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills required.

Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and communication including strong customer service skills required.

Ability to effectively prioritize, execute tasks and escalate while under pressure required.

Ability to adhere to standards and processes including for development, the SDLC, Agile/SCRUM and security required.

Microsoft Certifications preferred.

PCI or ITIL Certifications preferred.
