Ardent is seeking a Mid-Level Web App Developer to join our team.  

This is a Remote position but you must be able to work during normal business hours in the Eastern Time Zone.

The mid-level web application developer is responsible for creating and maintaining custom web applications in a GIS Enterprise system for a federal government customer. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET, and web development frameworks, as well as experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility. The mid-level web developer should also have a strong understanding of web development best practices and be able to work collaboratively with other developers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and best practices and agile methodologies are also necessary to be successful on this project. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications and websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development frameworks.
• Collaborate with other developers, designers, and project managers to ensure that web projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging of web applications to ensure high quality and efficient performance.
• Ensure that web applications and websites are responsive and compatible across multiple devices and browsers.
• Follow web development best practices and stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies and trends.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Document code and provide support to other developers as needed.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of web applications and websites.
• Provide surge support capabilities, as needed to support post-disaster system operational needs

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3 + years of experience in web application development.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET and web development frameworks (such as React, Angular, or Vue).
• Strong understanding of web development best practices, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Self-starting abilities; position is fully remote.
• Ability to work a consistent schedule (M-F) to match East Coast time zone working hours from 9am-5pm
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Esri & ArcGIS Enterprise software components.
• Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL or MongoDB.
• Experience with web development tools such as Webpack or Gulp.
• Experience with back-end web development technologies such as Node.js or PHP.
