Web Associate and Helpdesk Support

Ripple Effect is looking for a Web Associate with 4 years of experience to support our client's mission. This role will work closely with the Digital Transformation team to work on Client Web and IT needs. This position will require basic knowledge of full-stack web development tools, strong WordPress familiarity, and experience developing web applications, APIs, and related tools. Approximately 50% of the time will be spent on the tech support helpdesk for a key Federal client.

• Salary Range: $28.20 to $35.25 per hour (how we pay and promote)

Responsibilities

• Collaborating across teams to design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications.
• Assisting in the creation of responsive, user-friendly websites, pages, and interfaces.
• Using your knowledge of CSS, HTML, PHP, and other relevant languages to enhance website functionality and aesthetics.
• Supporting WordPress development, including theme customization, plugin integration, and content management.
• Contributing to API development, with an emphasis on data integration and system connectivity.
• Providing technical support to our clients, staffing a helpdesk or technical support function.
• Assisting with SQL or MySQL database administration tasks when necessary.
• Conducting domain maintenance and related tasks to ensure optimal website performance.

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Diploma and or GED Equivalent
• 4 years of experience

Basic Requirements

• Strong skills in CSS, HTML, PHP, WordPress, and other relevant web development languages.
• Familiarity with WordPress and experience customizing themes and plugins.
• A passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A proactive and self-motivated attitude, eager to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Experience staffing a helpdesk or providing technical support.
• Knowledge of SQL or MySQL database administration is a plus
• Knowledge of domain maintenance and related skills is a plus.
