Web Content Developer

LG Electronics is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Web Content Developer to join our Customer Service Care - Digital Experience Innovation Team!

POSITION SUMMARY:

LG Electronics is looking for a web developer to work as part of our support team. The web developer will be responsible for coding and maintaining articles and support pages on various digital channels. The ideal candidate will have experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript as well as familiarity with back-end development, particularly JSP, PHP and SQL.

THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create support pages using software development best practices
• Write and edit HTML, CSS and JavaScript using common development tools
• Maintain dynamic web pages using PHP, JSP and SQL
• Use a variety of proprietary content management systems and publishing tools
• Complete support tasks submitted through ticketing system
• Modify content for existing products based on customer feedback
• Explain technical concepts in an understandable way to non-technical persons
• Develop goals and strategies based on data analysis of website traffic, page interactions and customer feedback
• Monitor key performance indicators to plan and report status to management
• Self-manage development process to meet publishing schedules
• Take initiative to reach out to various LG departments for information sharing and collaboration
• Continuously update knowledge and understanding of LG products and technology
• Maintain relationships with product managers and development teams

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field
• 3 years' experience in web programming and development for a business website
• Core understanding of web development, APIs and debugging
• Experience creating fluid web pages following a mobile-first strategy
• Extensive knowledge of HTML and CSS and the use of development applications such as Dreamweaver, Visual Studio Code
• Must be a strong JavaScript developer
• A strong understanding of Bootstrap design architecture
• Experience with JSP, PHP, SQL and Python a plus
• A strong understanding of web applications and security
• Experience with website administration and hosting
• Experience with SQL database management
• Strong understanding of web accessibility guidelines and best practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
