Job Description

This Web Content Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the New Visions website's relaunch, manage the New Visions brand presence online, and coordinate website development initiatives in partnership with internal stakeholders. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent project management skills, and a passion for creating an exceptional user experience on our website.

As the primary point person for new website development, you will be responsible for initiating and leading the website redesign process. This involves liaising with potential service providers, managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, evaluating vendor options, and overseeing the project from inception to completion. Your expertise in website management will be crucial in ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for visitors.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will work closely with the team to align website strategies with broader marketing and communication goals. Strong collaboration and communication skills will be essential as you interact with multiple program teams and stakeholders throughout the organization.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead website redesign project, including managing project RFP process and vendor selection and liaising with service providers
  • Create and oversee a content management strategy covering the day-to-day content production process and handling of content from creation to archival
  • Manage website updates to support stakeholder requests and organizational priorities
  • Recommend, develop, and implement improvements to websites
  • Oversee website functionality for multiple sites including installing and keeping all necessary WordPress plugins up to date
  • Interface with the Technology team and service providers to address website performance issues
  • Leverage data to provide insight into web page performance and identify optimization opportunities across all NVPS web pages
  • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to recommend and implement best practices for web pages
  • Partner with internal departments to create reports and share insights with key  stakeholders
  • Act as liaison for the organization’s Intranet which will include section updates and planning, as well as content creation with an eye focused on employee engagement
  • Serve as internal subject matter expert for GA4, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads, training internal users and staying abreast of best practices

Required Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant web development and administration experience 
  • Experience leading complex website redesign projects
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree and/or certifications preferred

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong project management, including ability to take ownership of tasks and drive to completion
  • Experience utilizing content management systems, specifically WordPress, to manage complex company websites
  • Understanding of UX/UI design, digital design languages, digital ADA compliance, and other mandatory website regulations
  • Prior experience implementing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and other website enhancement tactics
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and ability to perform basic website coding tasks
  • Focus on reporting and data analytics to drive optimal website experience
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to drive productive content creation and management
  • Strong written communication and content editing skills

Salary Information
While the majority of new hires’ starting salaries shall be expected to be placed in the first half of the range(s) to allow space to grow in the job, for those who already have significant relevant experience at that level of the job, placement at the higher end of the range(s) is possible.
Pay Range
$74,481$111,722 USD
