Web Designer

We're hiring a Web Designer with at least five years of experience to support the ongoing revision of department external and internal digital communication. The ideal candidate must be able to commit to a 6 month term for this project, with potential for contract expansion.

Responsibilities

• Work within a Drupal Content Management System to perform revisions to DOL's publicly facing web pages.
• Contribute to stakeholder discussions regarding communication strategy for web pages.
• Monitor performance of interventions with Google Analytics.
• Assist in the creation of an Intranet by collecting and entering data from DOL operations into the site.
• Runs complex projects from design and development to production.
• Plans and schedules project deliverables, goals, milestones.
• Identifies and solves project issues.
• Designs and maintain technical and project documentation.
• Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Drupal.
• Experience in working with Google Analytics.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
• Proficient skills in web design applications.
• Understanding of UX/UI (user experience/user interface) design.
• Knowledge of SEO (search engine optimization)
• A creative and imaginative mindset.
• Good visual design sense.
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Experience in responding well to clients' design requests.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with deadlines.
