Job Description
Position Summary:
Direct Supply is building the future of healthcare technology with industry-leading products, solutions and platforms to help improve the lives of millions of seniors and those who care for them.
In the Web Developer position, you'll collaborate with web and UX designers, web developers, digital marketers, engineering, and project managers. Besides carrying out development tasks, you will assist the team manager in the creation of project goals, requirements, and development plans. We're looking for someone with experience and confidence to adhere to Direct Supply Engineering standards while working on complex digital projects.
Competencies & Skills Needed:
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and effectively communicate with all levels of an organization
- Functional/Technical Skills - Strong front-end development skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, package managers (NPM, Yarn), module bundlers (Webpack, Rollup). Working knowledge of Node.js, CI/CD, and version control systems (Git, GitLab).
- Prioritizes Effectively - Can manage competing priorities and deliver within defined timelines while also ensuring strong attention to detail and consistent updates are provided where needed.
- Dealing with Ambiguity - Drives progress through uncertainty and effectively navigates in new situations. Adjusts well to change and shifts gears easily.
- Strong Influencer - Presents concepts to individuals at all levels of an organization in a way that drives their desired outcome
What You'll Do and Impact:
- Use your experience to provide thoughtful input during research and planning sessions and mentor less experienced developers.
- Translate user and business needs into project requirements and deliver solutions that solve problems effectively and efficiently.
- Provide task breakdowns, identify dependencies and provide effort estimates.
- Flex your front-end coding skills to create and maintain clean, intuitive user interfaces for our various lines of business.
- Apply your back-end development knowledge to integrate with Direct Supply systems and infrastructure.
- Identify software issues and communicate problems with the team.
- Assist in preparation of functional and technical documentation to provide guidance to end users and support troubleshooting.
- Participate in hackathons and other company social activities to add some fun to your work-life balance.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technology-based discipline
- 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role
- Proven experience of working with headless CMS
- Experience integrating front-end solutions with .NET backend system
Additional Items of Interest:
- Experience working with AWS and Infrastructure as Code. (Terraform, Amplify, Cloudfront, ECS, S3)
- Experience working in a marketing/agency environment
- Experience working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server)
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and site optimization for both speed and search
- Experience with automated testing
- Understanding of Agile Methodology and experience working in sprint cycles
