Position Summary:
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of software development experience, including significant practical application of modern web technologies. If selected, the candidate will become a member of our Rochester, NY based Kodak Moments Branded Ecosystem development team. This Agile team is responsible for the development of new and existing Kodak Moments web components, pages, sites and applications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support existing and new web-based components, applications and websites including:KodakMoments.com;Kodak Moments Shared Web Platform; andSmartphone Express
- Implement user interface based on mock-ups provided by the User Experience team
- Use HTTP/REST calls to interface with Kodak Moments back-end services
- Clearly and actively communicate status of work and projects to stakeholders as needed
- Work closely with other team members to identify and resolve issues/concerns
- Work with other teams in the organization to accomplish business goals, including translating business requirements into technical requirements
- Diagnose and resolve software defects and problems
- Meet time requirements for assignments with minimal reminders
- Participate in an Agile software process, including sizing tasks using the team's estimation technique
- Participate in work product (e.g., code, design) reviews as necessary
- Share knowledge with other developers on the team
Required Skills:
- Experience building complex single page web applications built in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
- Experience with React.js and a thorough understanding of its core principals
- Experience with current JavaScript/ECMAScript standards
- Experience with the Redux or Flux application state frameworks
- Experience with Media Queries and creating responsive Web apps
- Experience with version control tools such as git and GitHub
- Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle (analysis, design, development, testing, defect tracking/resolution, deployment, field support)
- Experience with the REST architectural style, JSON
- Strong, fluent written and verbal communication in English
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack and NPM
- Experience with Less or SASS
- Familiarity with ESLint, TSLint, and other code analysis tools
- Full stack programming experience
- Node.js and libraries such as Restify, Express
- Experience with Object Oriented Application architecture and programming
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Sprints, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud services, build pipelines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related area of study.
