Position Summary

This position is responsible for the development and support of thecorporate web sites and web-basedapplications. Specifically,based on needs assessment and corporate direction, the Web Development intern will develop information, content and data requirements and translate them into system designs.From the designs the developer will create functional, maintainableweb-basedapplications. Banner standard software development life cycle practices will be followed.The developer will prepare required documentation.The developer will support existing applications to correct errors and improve application performance.This position will work with business personnel, business analysts, the Solution Architect, the Development Manager and the Director of IT/OT to communicate application and project status.This is an in-person position located at Banner's Corporate location in Plymouth, Minnesota.

This position reports to the IT/OT Development Manager.

According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

  • Non-Exempt, based on the Professional Exemption

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain web-based applications, tools and databases that integrate with other applications using Banner's standard web development environment
  • Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions that describes input, output, and logical operation and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language
  • Conduct test runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information
  • Other duties as assigned

Required

  • Pursuing aBachelor'sdegree in Computer Science or related field
  • Understanding of software development and maintenance lifecycles
  • Knowledge of Javascript, HTML, and CSS
  • Knowledge of underlying database structures
  • Results oriented individual with the ability to deliver quality, on-time results
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Well organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as a member of a team

Preferred

  • Knowledge of JAVA, XML, SQL (MySQL or Oracle)
  • Knowledge of Swagger and Adobe AEM
