Position Profile:
As a Web Development Manager, you will assume a pivotal role in leading our dynamic web development team, driving the creation of innovative and cutting-edge web solutions. Collaborating closely with our solutions architect, you will play a central part in designing and implementing cohesive and scalable solutions that align with both client needs and business objectives. Your strategic mindset, combined with outstanding leadership skills, will inspire a culture of web development excellence within our organization. Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of web developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Set clear goals, objectives, and performance metrics for the team to ensure high-quality deliverables and continuous improvement.
- Identify training and skill development opportunities for team members to enhance their technical expertise and career growth.
Solution Development:
- Collaborate closely with the solutions architect to translate architectural designs into practical and efficient web development solutions.
- Contribute to the design and planning of complex web applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives, user needs, and industry best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to achieve project goals and maintain technological relevance.
Project Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, from project initiation to delivery, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Allocate resources effectively, manage priorities, and balance workloads to meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Technical Excellence:
- Lead by example in coding, debugging, and troubleshooting complex web applications, assisting the team in overcoming technical challenges.
- Ensure the implementation of coding standards, best practices, and maintainable code for long-term sustainability and ease of maintenance.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with designers, product managers, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of web solutions.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical concepts into understandable terms.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development to drive innovation and ensure our solutions remain competitive.
- Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies to optimize the development workflow and enhance team productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 10 years in web development, with a strong background in leading and managing development teams.
- Proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
- Experience with backend technologies, databases, and server-side scripting languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails).
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, and scalability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration, facilitate communication, and build productive relationships within cross-functional teams.
- Track record of successful project management, including familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
- A proactive approach to staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development.
- Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and devise effective solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms and DevOps practices is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving situations.

- Demonstrated ability to lead by example, inspire, and mentor team members.
