We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our innovative Web team within WatsonxOrders . As a Full Stack Engineer you will play a pivotal role in developing helping and maintaining our suite of Web applications to support the promotion and the ordering of our order WxO agent. Your expertise in Full-Stack development will be essential in delivering high-quality scalable and efficient software solutions. This is a hands-on technical role where you will spend time designing coding
implementing demoing and promoting your features/product within the Web suite associated to WatsonX Orders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Front-end Development: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create visually appealing responsive user interfaces using React TypeScript JavaScript and CSS.
• Back-end Development: Design develop and maintain server-side applications and services using Node.js REST API JSON and Socket.IO.
• Database Management: Work with relational databases to ensure efficient data storage retrieval and manipulation.
• Cloud Integration: Utilize AWS services for deployment hosting and scaling of applications ensuring high availability and security.
• Containerization: Create and manage Docker containers to streamline deployment processes and ensure consistency across development and production environments.
• API Development: Design and implement robust REST APIs for seamless data communication between front-end and back-end components.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers quality assurance engineers and fellow developers to deliver exceptional software solutions.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: write unit tests perform code reviews and ensure code quality and application reliability.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for code APIs and system architecture.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science Software Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong proficiency in React TypeScript JavaScript CSS Node.js REST API JSON Socket.IO Docker AWS Postgres and SQL.
• Expertise in front-end development including modern UI frameworks and responsive design principles.
• Strong back-end development skills using Node.js and experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with database management using Postgres or other relational databases.
• Ability to write and optimize large complex SQL statements.
• Cloud computing experience especially with AWS services and IBM cloud for application deployment and scaling.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies particularly Docker.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to thrive in a collaborative fast-paced environment.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge of web audio codex/streaming.

• Familiarity with iOS or Android mobile development concepts frameworks and tools (e.g. Android Studio Xcode React Native or Flutter).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
