THE OPPORTUNITY: Web Operations Associate
REPORTS TO: Site Merchandising Director
LOCATION: New York or California, Remote (EST Hours)
Birdy Grey is looking for a Web Operations Associate to execute day to day updates of birdygrey.com and the product launch workflow within the ecommerce team. The role will own executing all product activations, and assist with execution of creative, promotional, and product launches within Shopify. Candidates need to be excellent with excel, extremely organized and able to partner cross-functionally. The role will report directly to the Director of Site Merchandising and will work closely with a number of teams, including Merchandising, Tech, Product, Project Management, Creative, Brand, Marketing, CX, Production, and Operations.
Scope Of Responsibilities
- Partner with Merchandising, Production, Operations, Engineering, Brand, and Creative on organizing all assets/copy for product activations as well as refresh and maintain content (copy, home page, product listings, etc) for the BG site
- Work closely with the Director of Site Merchandising and Site Merchandiser to implement product optimizations during and after product activation
- Own the organization of all web assets and web copy and flow timely to appropriate teams
- Own the QA and testing of all product activations to ensure accuracy, discoverability, and functionality
- QA and work closely with Engineers to assist with testing new functionality for the website
- Maintain team-wide communications of known bugs, exploring non-technical fixes, and communicating out
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience / Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in online retail or ecommerce operations working within Shopify (preferably Shopify Plus), with strong general ecommerce knowledge
- Matrixify (Shopify app) experience a plus
- Product Information Management (PIM)
- Content Management (CMS) experience
- Excellent excel and Google Suite skills (advanced formulas, functions, macros, automations, data cleaning & validation) and comfortability working with large data sets
- Experience working with PIM systems, product data models and data enrichment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize critical issues and work within all levels of the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Asana or similar Project Management tool
- Familiarity and comfort with Slack communication

New York Pay Range
$65,000-$85,000 USD
