Website and Digital Marketing Analytics (Bethesda, MD)
Job Description
Position Summary
The Manager, Website & Digital Marketing Analytics will leverage prior experience to oversee development and implementation of our digital analytics strategy.
They will hit the ground running on the following key initiatives:
- Design and implement website tagging infrastructure (via GTM)
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define KPIs
- Develop and deliver trend reporting on a regular cadence
- Provide deep-dive analytics on an ad-hoc basis
- Create systems to proactively monitor and catch issues/errors
This position reports to the Senior Director of Business Intelligence and must be able to bridge the gap between implementing effective web data capture techniques and illuminating strategic insights from that data.
Essential Job Functions[1]:
- Be a creative force in the development of a comprehensive digital analytics roadmap.
- Produce a consistent stream of metrics, reporting, test results and analysis to support marketing, product and sales efforts.
- Partner with marketing stakeholders to design and measure data-driven A/B testing programs, improve channel performance and mix, and drive site optimization.
- Leverage reporting tools such as Google Analytics to gain and share insights about customer segments, behaviors and preferences.
- Logically combine disparate data elements in order to produce a complete, 360 degree view of the marketing and sales funnel
- Partner with technology and operations teams to continuously innovate existing processes/tools and advance analytics methodologies.
- Stay current on new capabilities, products, and best practices that we can leverage to optimize data collection
- Foster a data-driven culture by selling ideas and informing decision-making through clear, user-friendly visualizations that lead to action-oriented, evidence-based conclusions.
- Develop presentations for management reviews in an accurate and timely fashion, and effectively communicate findings to executive and operational leaders.
- Responsibilities will eventually expand to support analysis covering other areas of the business, such as product management/development, capital markets and portfolio operations.

Education and Experience:
- BS/MS in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, IT, or Computer Science preferred.
- 6-8 years of progressive experience supporting/analyzing Website Performance, Paid Search, Email Marketing, SEO, Display Advertising and Social Engagement efforts.
- Broad based ad-tech (AdWords, DMP, etc) and web analytics (Google Analytics) expertise
- Experience working with a wide variety of datasets (clickstream, surveys, test results, CRM profiles, market research, transactional, etc).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Passion for number crunching, logical problem solving and intellectual challenges
- Ability to work through complex problems using past experience and firm grasp of business drivers
- Strong technical capabilities, forward-thinking and team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Capable of taking vague stakeholder requirements and building towards minimum-viable-product independently.
- Must be nimble and unflappable, as projects are prioritized based on a rapidly evolving list of organizational opportunities.
- Can successfully cultivate productive working relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
