Website Design & Development Lead

Overview:

Are you ready to take the lead on the design and development of the Locus websites? If so, we want to talk with you!

We are looking for an upbeat, creative, and efficient Web Design and Development Lead to join the Locus Creative Team! In this unique position you will manage all the phases of website development from concept to completion across all of the growing Locus divisions. A small but mighty team offers flexibility while also making a direct impact on our brand and user/customer experience.

What you will do:

• Collaborate on creative design and lead technical development of company’s Wordpress based websites.
• Work with stakeholders throughout project timelines to ensure goals are being met and respond to stakeholder and user feedback.
• Ensure websites are optimized for responsiveness & performance and protected with industry standard security protocols.
• Ensure websites meet or exceed ADA requirements.
• Work with Digital Marketing Lead to test effectiveness of websites and adjust designs and layouts to optimize based on performance.
• Work with CRM manager to integrate CRM functionality into websites as needed.
• Own website maintenance, revisions, and updates as necessary.

You’re a fit if you:

• Have 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining websites.
• Can understand and develop Wordpress websites and templates.
• Evaluate and recommend/develop plugins and other usability and performance enhancing features.
• “Speak” HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript.
• Understand responsive web design challenges and solutions.
• Understand W3C Web Standards/Semantics and Accessibility Guidelines

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Have you developed a Shopify website? That’s a plus!
