What You Will Do 

We are looking for an experienced and creative WordPress Developer to join our marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the website’s performance and back-end and front-end development, including WordPress themes and plugins.

How You Will Spend Your Days

• Responsible for website performance, development, redesign, maintenance, and critical, time-sensitive repairs
• Design and implement new features and functionality
• Establish and guide the website’s architecture and navigation
• Ensure high-performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of WordPress
• Create web pages against established design and visual identity guidelines
• A/B test web site updates and make recommendations to improve conversion
• Work with growth marketing team to design and develop landing pages for different marketing initiatives
• Develop and test user interface designs and all site / page updates across multiple browsers and mobile devices
• Work with internal / external SEO resources to optimize pages
• Maintain, optimize and support our web analytic and performance monitoring systems
• Regularly audit site to identify and repair issues using Yoast (or alternative)
• Regularly monitor and analyze site and page analytics using Google Analytics and other tools. Based on data, make updates to improve and maintain optimal metrics including bounce rate, pages / visit, minutes / visit, users, sessions, etc.
• Create and maintain documentation on any website custom development

What You Bring to This Role

• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Strong WordPress skills and understanding of theme strengths and weaknesses
• Understanding of Google Analytics and Google Ads
• Understanding of site audit tools
• E-commerce website experience nice to have
• Experience building user interfaces for websites
• Strong eye for design and a desire to create user-centered, content-driven websites
• Ability to work with debugging tools such as Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Knowledge of site optimization
• Ability to perform usability testing for major site updates
• Adobe skills or similar for image optimization and scaled images
• Ability to convert layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Lead full website development projects from start to finish
• 3+ years managing a WordPress web site
• Experience launching 3 websites from start to finish
• College degree in Computer Science or related

Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary between $100,000 and $120,000, and eligibility for annual bonus.
