Website Development Manager
Job Description
Mission:
The Website Development Manager is pivotal in leading and managing our offshore web engineering team based in the Philippines to deliver high-quality, innovative websites that meet or exceed client expectations. This role involves strategic planning, project management, and close collaboration with both the offshore team and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of functionality and design.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and implement efficient project management processes that enhance collaboration between the offshore web engineering team and in-house staff, ensuring seamless communication and project execution.
- Establish a framework for regular training and development for the offshore team, enhancing their skills in the latest web technologies and design trends, thus ensuring the agency remains competitive.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging the exploration and implementation of technologies and design principles that will set our client websites apart from competitors.
- Lead the offshore team in delivering projects that consistently meet or exceed client expectations in terms of design, functionality, and user experience, thereby enhancing client retention and referral rates.
- Implement quality control processes that significantly reduce bugs and other issues in delivered websites, ensuring a smooth and positive user experience for our clients' customers.
What makes you the hero for this job?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in web development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role overseeing web development projects.
- Proven experience managing offshore teams, particularly in the Philippines, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances that may impact work.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., ClickUp, Jira).
- Strong technical background in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, etc.) and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a geographically dispersed team.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
