Welder 1/Fabrication

The Elk Grove Village location, Weiss-Aug Group Mfg., is seeking an experienced Welder1/Tester who will produce parts conforming to specifications.Requirements: • Plug tank orifices in preparation for leak testing • Pressure testing completed weldments for leaks • Basic blueprint reading • Standing for long periods of time • Ability to use various hand and pneumatic tools to perform job duties • Give finished tank an inspection to ensure tank meets customer visual requirements, i.e. weld spatter removed, loose dirt, weld quality/requirements, and that part and feature locations match drawing requirements. • Document all non-conformances through use of tracking system Preferred Qualifications: • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience • High School Diploma • Experience in weld inspection Skills: • Ability to work overtime when required. • Ability to lift up to 30 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull use both hands to lift and lower materials • Perform all other essential duties
