Maverick Aerospace, LLC is a world-class manufacturer of components and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industries. Currently our facility is nearly 80,000 square feet under roof all bays are crane served. Our machine list is comprehensive and well suited to a variety of products, from the simplest 3-axis part to extremely complex 4, and 5-axis parts from various materials including, aluminum alloys, brass, steels, titanium and plastics. Our NC Programming department is staffed with an experienced and capable team, allowing us to tackle the most complex parts with various geometries. Position Overview: As a Welder you must operate and use welding equipment to weld aluminum, stainless, steel and other alloys. Some fitting fabrication and assembly using welders, torches, cutters, grinders, and measuring tools are required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: As a Welder must: • Have a working knowledge of different of methods used for welding (GTAW, GMAW, FCW) a variety of materials and components. (Aluminum, stainless, MIG welding, flux core, grinding, tack welding, flame cutting and saw cutting). • Pass AWS D1.2 AND AWS D1.1 Visual. • Must have the ability to read blueprints and weld symbol knowledge required. • Must understand weld procedures and qualify to these standards. • Have own tools. • Be able to work from written or verbal instructions. • Must have manual dexterity, physical strength to lift and hold 50lbs and be able to set it down gently, physical stamina to stand for 8 hours, able to work on ladders, spatial skills, technical skills. Ability to climb up and down equipment to fit parts or to weld parts sometimes one hand As a Welder must: • Read prints, be able to lay-out parts, verify dimensions, use hand tools, grinders, torch, plasma cutters. Must also be familiar with weld symbols, weld prep and bevel requirements. Qualifications, Skills and Abilities. Education Qualifications: • Minimum High School Diploma or GED • Minimum 10 years Welder or Fabrication experience within an Aerospace Manufacturing environment. • Requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, communication skills and problem-solving skills.
