Welder/Fabricator - Fence & Gate Experience

Technical Welding Skills • MIG and Stick welding (Steel, Galvanized ) • Arc welding and oxy-acetylene cutting • Welding in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead) • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings • Weld inspection and quality control (visual and tool-based) • Torch cutting, grinding and beveling Fabrication Skills • Metal layout, measuring, and marking using calipers, squares, and tape measures • Pipe and tubing cutting, notching, and coping • Drill press, band saw, and other shop equipment operation • Sheet metal forming and rolling • Assembly of gates, panels, posts, and custom structures • Tack welding and structural fitting • Welding jigs and fixtures usage • Custom fabrication to spec or customer request Fence-Specific Skills • Gate frame fabrication (swing, slide, cantilever) • Post setting knowledge (concrete, driven, core drill) • Knowledge of fence styles: chain link, wrought iron, ornamental steel/aluminum • Mounting hinges, latches, closers, rollers • Field welding and repair experience • Knowledge of corrosion prevention (priming, galvanizing, powder coating prep) Tool & Equipment Handling • Forklift • Safe handling of grinders, saws, torches, levels, clamps • Maintenance of welding and fabrication tools Soft Skills & Traits • Attention to detail and pride in workmanship • Problem-solving in custom or uneven field conditions • Teamwork and communication with installers/project managers • Time management and ability to meet deadlines • Willingness to work in outdoor environments and various weather(if needed) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
