Overview: We are currently seeking a highly experienced welder/fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in welding and fabrication techniques, particularly in the production of railings, gates, and fences. This role entails both hands-on fabrication work and leadership responsibilities within our small shop setting. Responsibilities: -Lead a team of skilled crew members in the fabrication of railings, gates, and fences, providing guidance and direction as needed. -Take ownership of projects from inception to completion, ensuring exceptional quality and adherence to design specifications. -Collaborate with the owner to schedule tasks and manage workflow effectively, optimizing productivity and meeting deadlines. -Operate various equipment including horizontal and vertical band saws, grinders, and metal finishing tools, to produce high-quality metalwork. -Utilize basic hand tools and fabrication techniques to execute precise welds and assembly of railing, gate, and fence components. - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and assembly of metal components - Operate plasma cutting equipment to cut metal sheets - Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of finished products - Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines Requirements: -Extensive experience in welding and fabrication, with a focus onrailings, gates, and fencesfor residential and commercial applications. -Proficiency in the following welding processes: Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW). -WABO Welder Certificationor equivalent certification demonstrating proficiency in welding techniques. -Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship. -Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively, managing multiple projects simultaneously. -Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the fabrication process. -Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset. -Proficiency in operating a range of fabrication equipment, including band saws, grinders, and metal finishing tools. - Strong ability to readblueprints, drawings, and specifications Why Join Us: Custom Railings WA offers a collaborative work environment where your skills and expertise in railing, gate, and fence fabrication will be valued.
