Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This position requires hands-on experience in various welding techniques and the use of power tools and hand tools. The Welder/Fitter will be responsible for assembling and fabricating metal components in accordance with industry standards.
Duties
• Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for fabrication tasks.
• Conduct pipe threading, ductwork assembly, and rigging as required.
• Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards throughout the welding process.
• Operate forklifts and cranes safely to transport materials around the construction site.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Work assigned may be other than welding job such as fixing panels, installing signs in c-stores or gas station price signs, etc.
• Job also entails painting and cleaning and fixing of drainage system over gas station canopy's.
Skills
• Proven experience in construction site environments.
• Proficient in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and other welding techniques.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use measuring tools accurately.
• Familiarity with fabrication processes including soldering, machining, plasma cutting, and assembly.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects.
• Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely within a manufacturing or construction setting.
• Experience with ductwork installation and repair is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.85 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
