Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with experience in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and precision of our manufacturing processes, contributing to the successful completion of projects on time. Responsibilities • Perform GMAW on square tubes and pipe for the Fence industry. SMAW, and FCAW welding on various materials, including sheet metal and piping is a plus • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for fabrication tasks. • Conduct assembly of components according to specifications while ensuring adherence to ASME codes & standards. • Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials and equipment as needed on construction sites. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting quality standards. Skills • Proven experience in Metal shop environments with a focus on welding and fabrication. • Proficiency in MIG welding and Plasma and torch cutting. TIG welding and FCAW is a plus. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machinery like forklifts and press brake machines. • Familiarity with using Smart Levels, Angles, and basic math skills for precise measurements. • Experience in rigging and understanding of safety protocols related to lifting operations. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. • Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work that meets industry standards.
