Welder/Fabricator/Fitter

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with a strong understanding of construction site operations. This role involves working with different materials and adhering to safety standards while ensuring high-quality workmanship. Duties • Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork. • Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for fabrication tasks. • Conduct pipe threading and assembly of components according to ASME codes & standards. • Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials around the construction site. • Carry out rigging tasks as necessary for lifting heavy components. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Skills • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. • Proficient in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and soldering. • Experience with fabrication processes and the use of calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools. • Familiarity with construction site practices, including safety regulations and equipment operation. • Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks. • Ability to operate machinery such as plasma cutters and perform machining tasks as needed. • Previous experience in manufacturing environments is a plus.
