Welders - 1st and 2nd shift

We are currently recruiting for 1st and 2nd shift Welders / Mig Welders for our Mesquite, Texas Service Center. 1st shift Monday through Friday 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM 2nd shift Monday through Thursday 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Pay will vary depending on experience. We offer a second shift pay premium as well. These positions will also work as part of a team within production and distribution while meeting ASSA ABLOY’s standards of excellence. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: • Grind, seam weld and/or full welding of doors and frames in a timely fashion • Grind frames to prepare them for paint • Identify hardware preps and anchors on the frames • Actively participate in providing a safe working environment for all employees • Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct • Perform other duties and special projects as required WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • Previous welding knowledge • Ability to carry 5-50 pounds regularly • Ability to read manufacturing or shop drawings and a tape measure • Previous working knowledge or desire to learn hand tools and hardware • Available to work overtime Let’s open the doors to the future – together!
