Wellness Specialist

What You will Do:

• Respond to and resolve customer service requests according to FBL Financial Group, Inc., policies in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner for external customers, departmental staff, and other FBL personnel at all times.
• Write and instruct fitness classes.
• Assist with the development and implementation of incentives, health promotion and other educational programs for the home office and field employees.
• Assist with instruction of CPR/First Aid classes.
• Responsible for maintaining applicable certifications/education according to industry standards.
• Utilize various forms of communication to share health and wellness education and information.
• Provide a safe, enjoyable and encouraging atmosphere by assisting members with wellness equipment and one-on-one consultations.
• Assist in maintenance of inventory of equipment to ensure it is safe and well maintained.

What it takes to join our team:

• College degree or equivalent required.
• Ability to instruct and participate in physical exercise.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certified within 6 months of employment
• Oral and written communication skills as appropriate to this position.
• Reasonably regular and predictable attendance.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
