The Wet Plant Superintendent is responsible for supporting the procurement of the maintenance and production team’s consumable parts and items at two different site locations. This role will report to the Regional Plant Manager and will typically work M-F with occasional nights and weekends. 

 Responsibilities: 

• Review flow rates and troubleshoots automation
• Troubleshoot and balance tonnage rates per line
• Ensure chemicals are balancing out and not overusing product
• Review quality of the sand
• Troubleshoot with the crews, balancing out any issues on conditions
• Pull historical data and review trends, spikes regarding tonnage coming in from the dredge
• Pull monthly rates/contracts/billing cycles to pay third party contractors ie. Native Plains (tonnage put in the hopper)
• Participates in HMI/monthly meetings/provide updates
• Work with maintenance in resolving issues with equipment
• Work with shutdown and maintenance planners on scheduling and ensuring tasks are completed
• Collaborate with dredge operator/dredge supervisor in terms of flow rates/maintenance
• Collaborate with Assistant Mine Manager and ensure performance and tonnage on third party contributions
• Coordinate with construction: Needs and demands of project allocation for example, facilitate what pumps are needed and where, grade levels and equipment
• Provide input and recommendations with engineering in terms of design regarding Wet Plant
• Travel between two site locations to perform duties listed

Qualifications: 

• Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
• High sense of urgency and strong attention to detail
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in oral/diagrammatic or written form that involves standardized work with some latitude for independent judgement
• High school or GED

Physical Demands/Working Conditions: 

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
• Required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, sit and climb or balance
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to tolerate conditions associated with no air conditioning or heat
