WHOOP Labs is the research arm of WHOOP. Our work focuses on conducting human trials to develop next-gen features and technology.


As the WHOOP Labs Research Operations Coordinator, you will work alongside the WHOOP Labs team to manage research operations and participant communication for a large study running in the lab. Your efforts will support the organization as we continue to push the envelope and lead the wearables industry.


This role is a four month contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own participant recruitment and logistics for a high-touch longitudinal research effort
  • Identify demographic gaps in organic recruitment and execute outreach initiatives to recruit participants that meet target criteria
  • Research and establish the logistical needs and incentives most compelling to target groups; design study variations that engage “difficult to recruit” populations
  • Iterate as needed to fulfill sample criteria by enrolling cohorts on a rolling basis during the study window
  • Lead participant communication for the study in collaboration with study stakeholders
  • Answer incoming questions from study participants about the longitudinal study
  • Identify common questions and update supporting documentation (e.g. FAQs) with new information when appropriate
  • Monitor data submission and reach out to prompt participants with reminders if they are noncompliant
  • Support any needed troubleshooting or other participant issues during the study window
  • Track success metrics for the project including sample composition, study completion/abandon rates, and experience feedback
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders on project status 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong writing skills with demonstrated ability to compose clear instructions and produce documentation with a range of tones
  • Experience related to technical troubleshooting, customer service or user/platform operations
  • Experience communicating with study participants in person, via email, and through SMS
  • Experience managing personally identifiable information (PII)
  • Strong attention to detail and able to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in any relevant field

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
