Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is seeking a Windows System Administrator to join our team and support our mission critical customer in Reston, VA. As our Windows System Administrator you will maintain and fully support AWS cloud capabilities for hosting cybersecurity tools and databases and administer and maintain current capabilities and technology stacks, including patching and upgrades to all services and technologies. The Windows System Administrator will also provide primary WSUS engineering and technical support to program team and service users, including the support of PKI integration of web-enabled community portal, and any Windows server builds. Other responsibilities include providing technical support to the on-premise data transfer hub, supporting engineers in creating technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and configuring cloud monitoring dashboards and alerting.

Required Qualifications:

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
• Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience related to specific functional area
• Certifications: Currently hold IAT II and CSSP Infrastructure certifications, or be able to attain a CompTIA CYSA+ certification AND CSSP Infrastructure or equivalent certification
• Experience and knowledge on:
• A general overview is WSUS setup, configuration, maintenance, and administration
• WSUS duties will include user account management, account and group policy management, installation and configurations of server and software, scripting, upgrade management
• The Admin will be responsible for maintaining an upstream WSUS server that serves multiple downstream servers that then provide updates to systems on their network
• Experience with scripting in PowerShell, .net, VB, C#
• Experience with backup, restore, and testing of SQL database and systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Security Certifications: CySA+, CSSP Infrastructure or equivalent certification
• AWS, Azure or Windows Server 2016 certifications
