Windows Systems Administrator
Job Description
Currently, TIAA has an opportunity for a Windows Systems Administrator in their Denver, CO office. This role works in a Hybrid-Flex environment (i.e., three days in the office and two days virtual). This position will be a part of the Core Windows Support Team within the Client Services and Technology organization.
This position will have responsibility for administering TIAA's Windows servers which consist of Windows 2012, Windows 2016, and Windows 2019 Servers. In addition, will need to ensure the uptime of the servers to limit work disruptions. This includes system maintenance and configuration, such as installing and troubleshooting hardware and software. In addition, this role will focus on monitoring our ServiceNow queue and remediate Windows tasks, incidents, and make changes in a timely and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor everyday systems and evaluate availability of all server resources and perform all activities for Windows servers.
- Troubleshoot Operating Systems, debug hardware issues and resolve complex issues using technical capabilities and available tools.
- Provide Production support in dealing with live issues.
- Collaborate and drive troubleshooting sessions with other infrastructure and Application Development teams.
- Conduct proactive analysis to determine if systems are performing optimally.
- Drives problems to root cause analysis through partnership with Application Development and engineers, ensuring knowledge is captured for future events.
- Provides 24X7 on call support to restore failed core infrastructure components, utilizing support tools and vendor support.
- Provides business continuity and disaster recovery support by testing, reviewing, and supporting disaster recovery plans on a routine basis.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, server systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs etc.

Qualifications
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Windows system administrator managing servers in a mid-large enterprise environment; inclusive of experience with installation, configuration, and ability to update Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support to restore core infrastructure workload during outage; will need to be responsive to technology issues
Preferred:
- Experience in PowerShell shell scripting or other programming languages
- Experience with Dell and HPE Server Hardware.
- Familiar with VMWare, NetApp NAS/SAN, Network
- Familiar with and able to use Enterprise Management tools such as BigFix, MECM, SCOM
- Experience in LDAP / Active Directory Authentication, Multi-Factor Authentication protocols, IIS, Clustering, DFS, PKI
- Experience in supporting solution in Private Cloud, Public Cloud or Hybrid Cloud Environment, AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience with Gitlab, Confluence

Base Pay Range: $86,000/yr. - $143,300/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
