Job Description:

DTN is now hiring a Windows/VMware Administrator for our Infrastructure team! You will be joining a team of 6 Infrastructure Engineers and System Administrators responsible for the broader Windows Server environment across our 5 US based datacenters.

This position has broad responsibilities across the company, from security and operations to helping define how Windows Server are built and deployed in AWS, to working with development teams on how to utilize new features of Windows server.

Responsibilities:

• Administration of our Windows Server fleet in cooperation with other teams, while being one of the company experts on Windows Server.
• Implementation, administration and troubleshooting of hybrid Azure/on-prem Active Directory.
• Administration of our several VMware clusters, while being a VMware resource to other groups at DTN.
• Work with automation to further increase our leverage on increasing the fleet size without increasing the Infrastructure Team size.
• Participate with other teams with the administration of our Office365, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Box services.
• Maintain correct licensing of the commercial software in use across our Windows servers.
• Configuration and maintenance of backup policy and knowledge of backup tools, both on-site and in AWS.Implementation of group policies according to organization requirement.
• Hardware / software selection and procurement as required
• Interface with senior management to develop, refine, and execute the cloud computing strategy and roadmap. (Strong emphasis on Amazon's AWS)
• Work with other technical and Data Center Architects for migration plans encompassing infrastructure baseline, plans and road maps; application migration plans, requirements and needs; industry leading and evolving trends, techniques, products, and vendors
• You will work with technical leads from infrastructure domains to develop a comprehensive technical architecture to support the multi-year agenda for cloud adoption.

Technical Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years' experience in Systems Administration.
• Strong technical knowledge of VMware ESX / ESXi and Virtual Center, SRM, vCOPs
• Deep knowledge and experience with PowerShell.
• Knowledge of cloud storage (object level), storage tiering, storage deduplication and virtualization.
• Familiarity with datacenter concepts and best practices, high-availability systems, capacity planning, system performance evaluation, diagnostic techniques and methodologies.
• Understanding of cloud computing operating principles, features, and benefits.

Nice to Have:

• Good skills with a scripting language other than PowerShell or Unix shell.
• In-depth technical skills in Cloud infrastructure design, compute, storage and networking implementation, particularly using Amazon Web Services
• Demonstrable experience implementing a CI/CD pipeline
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira
• Confidence to make strategic recommendations to senior and executive level management as well as all levels of internal/external service partners.
