Wire Transfer Specialist
Job Description
First International Bank and Trust is a family-owned community bank and one of Prairie Business Magazine's 50 best places to work for 10 years running. We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Wire Transfer Specialist to join our team.
In the fast-paced and ever evolving world of payments, you could have a front row seat to ensuring wire requests are moving efficiently and timely while ensuring fraud and risk are mitigated all while protecting the bank and it's customers. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate that focuses on communication, time management, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers accurately and efficiently.
- Balance and reconcile transactions to ensure accuracy for successful posting of payment.
- Verify the authenticity of wire transfer requests and ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
- Communicate with customers to confirm wire transfer details and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Monitor and report any suspicious or fraudulent activity related to wire transfers.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth processing of wire transfer transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of all wire transfer activities and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree; three to five years of banking experience and/or training, preferably in bank operation, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software applications.
