As a Wireless Design and Implementation Engineer, you are responsible for designing and implementing connectivity solutions across North America. The responsibilities are broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities, requiring a work style that is purposeful in creating disciplined processes that encourages results-driven, task-oriented collaboration.

What You'll Accomplish and Experience

• Design and implement telecom networks using a variety of different applications
• Analyze telecom infrastructure and make appropriate cost-effective design recommendations
• Requisition hardware necessary to deliver technology solutions

• Assist with identification and qualification of new solutions

• Resolve escalation issues regarding adjustments, incorrect material, or delivery problems. Coordinate corrective actions
• Remain current with changing technology
• Develop and maintain effective partner relationships
• Ability to secure bids and proposals in the procurement of goods and services
• Negotiate pricing, terms, conditions including one time and long-term contract purchases

• Follow up on orders to meet internal or external deadlines
• Coordinate Service Delivery activities between internal resources and partners
• Ability to assist in sourcing strategies to improve efficiencies in leveraging partnerships
• Leverage quality controls to ensure products (services, hardware, and software) are delivered according to order details and rectify order discrepancies, as necessary

Desirable Previous Experience

• Strong understanding of spectrum and wireless technologies
• Strong understanding of CPE options to deliver PLTE/WIFI Product Portfolio.
• Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, and Ethernet connectivity
• Strong understanding of wireless technologies (Both line of site and non-line of site technologies)
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network design, Layer-2 connectivity, Internet, MPLS, SDWAN, fiber optics, microwave transmission, wireless mesh, and secure IP networking requirements including IPSec, GRE, SSL and VPN technologies
• Experience working with multi-vendor infrastructure
• Hands on experience developing, migrating, maintaining and troubleshooting telecom networks
• Strong negotiating skills to obtain best prices, terms, and conditions, including one-time and long-term contract purchases, including preparing purchase orders and placing orders.
• Analytical with a drive for change
• Solid IT background
