Overview
Gogo Business Aviation is seeking a Wireless Mobile IP Systems Engineer expert with experience in 4G/5G network functions to assist in the deployment of our nationwide 4G & 5G network. Our ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work on the latest mobile IP technologies and assist in building the world's first 5G inflight connectivity network.

How will you make a difference?

• Work with the team and assist in the deployment of Gogo's 5G stand-alone core
• Participate in the design of a geo-redundant highly available mobile IP network
• Create solutions for automating simple network deployments.
• Work cross functionally with other engineering disciplines for a common goal.
• Support in network evolution, innovation and roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 5-7 years IP networking or mobile IP experience

Required Skills, Talents & Experience

• Experience with wireless technologies (CDMA/LTE/5G)
• Has worked with 4G network functions (MME/SGW/PGW)
• Skilled with virtualization & container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
• Can work with IP networking (route/switch/firewall)

Preferred Skills, Talents & Experience

• Expert troubleshooting skills and IP packet analysis
• Knowledge of QoS and implementation methods
• Experience working in large enterprise IP networks
• Has worked with 5G network functions (AMF/SMF/UPF/PCF)
• Skilled with wireless authentication systems (AAA/AUSF/UDM/UDR/HSS)
• Previous experience working with cloud provider or wireless carrier
• Familiar with ata center environments
• Worked with telecommunication carriers and circuits (DWDM/MPLS)
• Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies (CCNP/CCIE, etc.)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Exposure to automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
• Can work with VMWare (vCenter, NSX, PowerCLI, etc.)
• Cloud service provider knowledge (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Team player with good communication and desire to learn new technologies

Base Pay:
108,000.00 - 135,000.00 USD Annual
Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
