Job Description:

As a member of the WLAN PHY systems team, the candidate will participate in the design and characterization of cutting edge WLAN products. The candidate should have strong technical background and good communication skills, be able to work effectively in a multi-team environment, and act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. The requirements include, but are not limited to:

• PHY algorithm design and development from concept to production; requires extensive characterization on silicon, and ability to debug issues on chip and identify/implement enhancements back into the system model.
• 802.11ac Physical Layer bringup, development, system characterization and troubleshooting
• 802.11ac PHY performance measurements and enhancements
• Resolution of functional and performance issues
• Good grasp of C coding fundamentals for both system simulations as well as driver code development is a strong plus.
• Draw concepts from wireless communication theory to test performance and identify system deficiencies

Qualifications:

• Minimum: B.S. and 8+ years of related experience, or M.S and 6+ years of related experience, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of experience
• Must clearly understand fundamentals of Digital Communication theory, MIMO-OFDM, Signal Processing.
• Experience with MATLAB, C/C++ and scripting/automation tools such as Python and/or Perl
• Strong communications and multitasking skills

Additional Job Description:

Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary range for this position is $106,800.00 - $178,000.00. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
