WordPress and React Developer

This role is an opportunity to work on widely used WordPress products and modern React-based interfaces within a globally distributed engineering team. You will contribute to the development of high-traffic themes and plugins used by hundreds of thousands of users worldwide, shaping tools that power websites, agencies, and freelance developers. A significant part of the work focuses on building and enhancing front-end experiences using React while maintaining strong backend foundations in WordPress. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and improvement of WordPress-based products and modern React-driven interfaces.

• Develop and maintain WordPress themes and plugins with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
• Build and enhance interactive front-end features using React and modern JavaScript practices.
• Collaborate with a distributed team using Git-based workflows and agile communication tools.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and propose elegant solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Ensure code quality through best practices in PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress development standards.
• Participate actively in improving product features, usability, and overall user experience.
• Stay engaged with modern web technologies and open-source ecosystem trends.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced full-stack-oriented WordPress developer with strong front-end expertise in React and solid backend fundamentals.

• Strong understanding of WordPress core architecture at code level.
• Proven experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Solid proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript (ES6).
• Hands-on experience with React and modern front-end development workflows.
• Familiarity with jQuery and Git version control systems.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress coding standards and security best practices.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed, and agile environment.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to clean, maintainable code.
• Bonus: experience with Redux, Gutenberg block development, TypeScript, or testing frameworks like Jest, PHPUnit, or WPUnit.
