WordPress CMS Developer

ngx is looking for a talented freelance developer specializing in WordPress CMS development to join our team on a contract basis. This is a remote position, but restricted to candidates who are independent freelancers and +/- 3 hours of the Pacific Time zone.

The focus of this role is to build CMS backends for interactive exhibits, touchscreen kiosks, and websites. We have a few projects to get started with great freelance partners. Is this you? We want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately scope, build, and test CMS features and plugins

• Develop components using Gutenberg

• Collaborate efficiently with project teams (some availability for meetings during Pacific Time working hours required)

• Deliver quality code on time

Required Experience

• 2+ years as a dedicated, independent freelancer

• Expert level experience in WordPress, including Gutenberg, architecture, and plugin development

• Some experience with React or other JavaScript frameworks

• Ability to develop complex API integrations

• Proficient with Git and GitHub

Skills

• Very professional and service oriented

• Highly organized and agile, with the ability to prioritize tasks

• Excellent communication skills, written and in-person

• Commitment to delivering excellence and meeting high standards for quality

Bonus Points

• Previous experience building applications for touchscreens and kiosks

• Creative web development experience, implementing designs from Figma mockups

• Experience working directly with agencies

• Knowledge of BrightSign Digital Signage Players and BrightAuthor
