WordPress Developer

Go Maverick Group is helping a company in downtown Cleveland expand their development team by adding another full stack WordPress Developer to the team. This isn't your typical "install and modify a theme" WordPress role! You'll be using a custom theme that is modified and applied across several sites that see hundreds of thousands of hits per month.

This is a full time role, where you will be helping to implement site modernization and redesigns on existing sites, working with designers to build new sites from the ground up, and helping to manage sites for cross browser compatibility, SEO, as well as reliability and scalability.

Outside of WordPress, you will also have the ability to get into more modern front end development in node, react, and the MEAN/MERN stack, as well as some DevOps work if you are up to the challenge!

This role will need to be on-site in downtown Cleveland at least one day per week - while remote work is available a few days a week, you MUST be local to Cleveland to be considered.

Requirements

4+ years of experience with WordPress Development:

• PHP WordPress theme creation and modification
• Experience building or modifying WordPress plugins
• MySQL database modification
• Strong front end HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of the WordPress Admin Console
• Experience with cross-browser and device-size compatibility testing
• Any experience in node.js, react.js or typescript is a plus
