WordPress Development Lead

fusionSpan is a fast-growing multinational information technology services company, and we are seeking a talented Web Development Lead to join the team in El Salvador.
This position is 100% remote.
Job Summary:
As the Lead of our Web Development team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and guiding our web projects. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the development and maintenance of our websites, ensuring high performance, seamless integration, and a user-centric approach. You will interact with our North American team and customers on a regular basis.
Role & responsibilities:

• Manage existing WordPress websites, plugins, and integrations
• Lead PHP development projects
• Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of websites.
• Ensure websites are designed with optimal user experience and comply with accessibility standards.
• Regularly evaluate website performance using analytics tools. Implement strategies for improvement.
• Ensure all web properties adhere to the latest security protocols and data protection regulations.
• Collaborate with external vendors and agencies for specialized services.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in web development and administration
• Strong PHP development and debugging experience
• Experience with WordPress Engine
• Experience creating and maintaining web plugins
• Expertise in managing and customizing the WordPress platform
• Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc)
• Experience with relational databases
• Good communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Experience with Cloudflare and renewing SSL certificates.
