About the Role

As a WordPress Developer at Riskified, you’ll work on the front-end web development of our customer-facing web properties with your primary responsibility for the WordPress website - www.riskified.com. You will be a valuable member of the Digital Experience team in the Marketing department and work on various web projects with a cross-functional global team of web developers, marketers, designers, and SEO and UX experts who are collaborative, innovative, and fun to work with. 

We’re seeking a passionate, forward-thinking, eager-to-learn team member with a deep understanding of content management systems, UX, design principles, and marketing to help formulate an effective, responsive design and bring our interactive digital experiences to the next level. We’re excited to train and support your growth and development.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support front-end code development of web projects from start to finish and collaborate with other team members to complete your assigned tasks. 
• Leverage design wireframes to develop the web interfaces.
• Support WordPress CMS management, build new templates, and fix front-end bugs.
• Make visual and structural changes to our website to improve web performance, technical SEO, user experience, and conversion rates.
• Collaborate with multiple teams from cross-functional departments, including marketing and brand design to create and implement new web features, components, and functionalities. 
• Support technical aspects of the CMS while ensuring high performance and availability.
• Extending the functionality of the WordPress CMS to support additional use cases
• Provide support for front-end changes, including custom CSS requests

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Full Stack, using PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 - MUST
• Knowledge of WordPress CMS backend, including the WP Query class, ACF - MUST
• 2-3 years of experience in WordPress front-end development - MUST
• Experience with version control systems like Git - MUST
• Examples of sites you have contributed to front-end development. These should be sent together with the CV
• Familiarity with Docker / Colima and DDEV for local development environments is advantageous.
• Experience designing responsive websites and the ability to convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Experience with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Experience with a multilingual WordPress site, particularly using WPML is a big plus
• Good writing and communication skills in English
• An autodidact approach to software development
• A keen eye for details and pixel-perfect designs
• Experience with Sage theme and Blade template engine is an advantage
• Experience using tools such as Jira or Airtable and Figma
• Experience with marketing tools such as Google Analytics & Hubspot is a plus
