Workday Graduate Application Development Associate

Location – Mumbai [office based] 

About the role: 

The Graduate Application Development Associate will work as part of a technical team building (coding) & launching customised applications within Workday to meet CloudRock’s global customer needs. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop essential professional services consulting skills within a high growth, international digital transformation consulting firm. Key Job Responsibilities 

• Learning: Complete a full training programme to learn about Workday, Integrations & the underlying technical architecture in which application development sits, including future Workday Certification.   

• Requirements Analysis: Participate in and contribute to the requirements analysis with internal and external stakeholders to understand the requirements and required functionality for the application.  

• Provide support on translating internal and external customer needs into technical solutions.  

• Design & Development: Contribute to the design, development, testing, troubleshooting and launch of customised Workday applications under the guidance of senior developers.  

• Contribute to the design of the technical foundation for Workday applications to ensure they are efficient and integrate well with other systems.  

• Maintenance & Testing: Maintain and enhance existing applications; implementing enhancements and bug-fixes as appropriate.  

• Documentation: Create documentation to support the development (e.g. specifications, code comments and user manuals) and testing of applications to ensure effective knowledge capture and future knowledge sharing.  

The Ideal Candidate: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or relevant field (or is about to graduate!). 

• Understanding of AI and ML concepts  

• Demonstrated ability to code in some of the following programming languages: Java, .NET, or JavaScript 

• Understanding  of SQL, JSON, HTML. 

• Understanding of the web services( REST/SOAP) good to have hands on experience on coding project with above languages. Knowledge of POSTMAN or similar tools for the web services. 

• Has some experience with technical skills like scripting, web services, and data modelling (we can help you learn more!) 

• Confident and articulate communicator using the English Language 

• Able to produce written work in English to a high standard of accuracy and grammar 

• Able to explain technical concepts in plain language 

• Exceptional problem-solving skills in a technology context 

• Learning agility alongside technical curiosity and a desire for continuous development  

• Ability to work with both speed and accuracy with exceptional attention to detail 

• Effective time management 

• Effective personal organisation/ability to meet deadlines 

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team 

Desirable Skills: 

• Basic knowledge of scripting languages (JavaScript, JSON, Web Services, XML). 

• Evidence of work experience placements, or own applications developed
