WPP is on a journey to transform our People Operations for optimization on a global scale enabled by the implementation of Workday HCM within our Operating Companies (Agencies).
Following a unified and defined Program approach, and partnering with various team members (Technology, Process, Change, Communications, Training) the Global Deployment Lead will serve as a single point of contact to the WPP Creative Operating Companies (Agencies), Agency Process Steward(s) and will execute project delivery tasks as outlined by the Global Deployment Lead, within their local organizations.
This position can be in NY or London our pilot location, however the role will have global oversight once the global rollout plan is determined. Team members are expected to be on-site two to three days a week.
What you'll be doing:
Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:
- Liaison between WPP Workday program team and Agency Stewards within a specific market, ensuring deployment tasks and deliverables are met by project deadlines.
- Proactively provide solutions and support to drive engagement, understanding and collaboration in the market.
- Communicate (verbal and written) with all stakeholders in concise and inclusive ways, with clear objectives, to ensure all project members are kept updated, but not overwhelmed.
- Escalate timeline and resource challenges/risks to Global Deployment Lead with proposed solutions to resolve in a timely manner.
- Manage project communication channels and meeting cadence with relevant delivery teams.
- Partner with Agency Process Stewards to deliver key project updates to key stakeholders, forming relationships at Agency in market.
- Ensure end to end global processes for Joiner/Mover/Leaver are socialized with key Agency stakeholders for signoff, utilizing tools provided by the Program Design team.
- Support and/or partner with Agency Steward(s) in reviewing People journey maps, and demo’ing Workday functionality; solicit Program team assistance as needed.
- Oversee and support Agency Process Stewards in completing activities within their local organizations i.e., data collection, validation of configuration workbooks, testing, etc.
- Partner with Agency Stewards and Change resources to diagnose and assess severity of process change impacts, and co-create measurable transition plans to mitigate actions and key messages that drive communication and training.
- Ensure the Agency executes communication and training plans within project deadlines. Collaborate with Change, Comms & Training team and Agency Stewards to ensure training and communications drive adoption of new processes, roles, and technology within that market.
- Communicate and manage Agency enhancement requests within Program governance.
- Conduct and complete Business Readiness activities with Agency.
- Facilitate handover from delivery to BAU team.
What you'll need:
- Relevant experience with preference for HR, IT, or other corporate function
- Must have project management experience with large, complex, cross-functional, technology and transformation projects.
- Must have Workday HCM or other HCM Cloud experience.
- Technical / business deployment experience and understanding of technology required.
- Preference for experience working in a complex agency / creative environment.
- Proven experience with large-scale, complex organizational change.
- Experience with process engineering inclusive of design, mapping and Standard Operation Procedure development preferred with experience in business process modelling tools e., Visio, Lucid, Blueworks, etc.
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Organizational and communication skills (interpersonal, written, team collaboration) at all levels, across organizations.
- Ability to distil complex ideas into digestible communication resulting in understanding and buy-in.
- Able to define goals and metrics, develop actionable plans and manage work to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ability to lead and influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels of organization.
