Job Description

Major Responsibilities:
  • Leads security requirements, design, configuration, workflow, testing training, auditing, implementation and administration of Workday basic and advanced security.
  • Performs hands-on security group, domain and user security configurations in Workday.
  • Problem solves and troubleshoots issues relating to Security Configuration.
  • Participates in upgrades and provides ongoing support of Workday Security activities.
  • Develops and executes test plans based on security requirements, tracking defects and fixes to resolution.
  • Performs security impact analysis for change request and Workday release upgrades.
  • Assists with configuration and testing of Workday security, audits and maintains existing security structure.
  • Documents the current and future state of Workday security configurations, maintenance and support of Workday tenants. Recommends best security practices and provides sound solutions to support end to end business processes.
  • Acts as an active member for the Workday community - staying ahead of Workday security updates, fixes and resolutions.
  • Leads collaborative efforts across a broad range of business partners, stakeholders and external partners resources. Handles production support and change request based on priority.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
  • Workday Pro Certification issued by Workday. Needs to be obtained within 1 year.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.


Experience Required:
  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in Workday or other relevant ERP applications and related business experience that includes end user experience, functioning as the interface between operational and technical experts, providing operational support for systems, and analyzing business processes.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a minimal amount of supervision with proficiency in the ability to instruct, guide, assign, advise and mentor team members.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer operating platforms, applications software, and network software.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills necessary to make sound recommendations based on data analysis, and business needs, assuring maximum productivity, and continuous process improvement. Demonstrated ability to translate user requirements into system specifications.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite or similar products and experience with large scale automated systems. Ability to prepare, import, and manipulate information in spreadsheets and databases.
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with key leaders.
  • Advanced knowledge and ability in the use of project management change management software and tools and methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to follow change management processes.
  • Demonstrated experience working with clinical and technical customers, vendors, peers, and management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set appropriate priorities and accomplish assignments in a thorough and timely manner.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Work environment may contain dust, dirt, and noise. May be exposed to mechanical and electrical hazards.
  • May be exposed to patient care areas, therefore, personal protective equipment will be worn as necessary
  • May require incumbents to carry a pager, and also requires off-hour functions such as emergency issue resolution, support, and routine system updates.
  • Requires some travel. May be exposed to road and weather hazards.
  • Generally exposed to a normal office environment. Sits the majority of the workday, but also may lift, reach, and bend throughout the day.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
