Description
As a Workday Systems Analyst, you will serve as the IT point-of-contact and subject matter expert for all functional areas within our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system to preserve business continuity and operations. Play a pivotal role in supporting and optimizing the Workday system by leading requirements definition, solution design, system configuration & testing, implementation, and troubleshooting. Collaborate closely with HR, IT, and other stakeholders to understand business needs, and to design & implement tailored solutions to meet those needs. Lead the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of Workday and related solutions, thereby contributing to the overall efficiency and optimization of HR processes and data management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to subject matter & solution expert for all functional areas within our Workday HCM tenant.
- Plan, design, test and implement Workday system setups, configurations, and
enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues swiftly in support of users at all levels within the company. As needed, collaborate with Workday support and service providers to resolve issues, and maintain system hygiene.
- Identify options for Workday related solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability.
- Provide guidance and training to empower users in maximizing the potential of Workday.
- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation of Workday configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures to sustain knowledge sharing, user training & adoption, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to design, implement and manage
integrations between Workday and other systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, analytics)
- Perform all activities in accordance with IT risk compliance and change management policies to ensure Workday configurations and data handling comply with relevant data privacy and security regulations.
- Manage relationships with external service providers, consultants, and internal
stakeholders.
- Map current and future state processes as needed by working with functional leads
across the organization.
- Translate business and functional requirements into highly specified system
requirements documents.
- Track and monitor all service requests, enhancement requests and projects in
appropriate systems (e.g., JIRA).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Workday functionality and related industry
developments. Analyze industry, technology, and market trends to determine their
potential impacts on the enterprise.
- Identify risks, conflicts, and dependencies across relevant projects.
- Participate in end-to-end implementation planning including estimation, project
management, issue management, communication, and change management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, engineering or related field or equivalent years of experience.
- 2 to 3 years proven experience as a Workday HCM Systems Analyst or similar role
responsible for implementing, configuring, customizing, and supporting Workday HCM and related modules.
- Experience partnering with business stakeholders and users across multiple business areas in delivery of IT projects and system support.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
methodology and techniques.
- Proficient in using productivity tools (Office 365 preferred), project management tools, such as MS Project, Smartsheet or equivalent.
- Strong Workday functional and configuration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a demanding, dynamic, change-oriented, fast paced environment requiring a high degree of deadline-driven productivity.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and system troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with business partners and cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with several departments and develop strong working relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated learning agility to understand different business processes and different systems.
- Identify upstream and downstream impact analysis through experience, systems, and processes.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ability to be a team player and collaborate with other technical and non-technical resources to achieve project and business objectives.
Preferred
- Workday HCM certification is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Workday analytics and reporting.
- Medical device or pharmaceutical industry experience desired.
- Familiarity with data privacy & security regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus.
Inari Medical offers competitive health and wealth benefits for our employees. The base pay range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000. A range of factors, including location, skills, and experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
