Summary
This position is located under the United States Department of Labor (DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Chicago Regional Office.
This position is inside the bargaining unit.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
- Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
Qualifications
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Qualifying specialized experience at the GS-11 level includes three of the following:
1. Interpreting and applying Federal laws, regulations, and other requirements to federally funded workforce development grants or contracts.
2. Conducting reviews or analyses of federally funded workforce development program policies, processes, or practices to identify violations or areas of concerns.
3. Experience preparing a wide range of technical written materials or products.
4. Analyzing, interpreting, or reporting on data related to federally funded workforce development grants or contracts to identify opportunities for improvement.
5. Preparing or delivering presentations that promote federally funded workforce development programs.

3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts as proof of any claimed education.

An LL. M degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts as proof of any claimed education.
-OR-
A Ph. D. or equivalent doctoral degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts as proof of any claimed education.
-OR-
A combination of education and experience as described above (totaling 100%). NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts as proof of any claimed education.
For GS-12: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level of GS-11 in the Federal Service.

Education
Any applicant falsely claiming an academic degree from an accredited school will be subject to actions ranging from disqualification from federal employment to removal from federal service.

This position is inside the bargaining unit. If the duty location is within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, the position will be included in the Local 12, AFGE bargaining unit. If the duty location is outside the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, the position will be included in the NCFLL bargaining unit.
The Full Performance Level (FPL) of this position is GS-12.

This is not a remote work position. The selectee will report to an assigned DOL office location on a regular basis and is eligible for participation in telework as determined by management in accordance with DOL policy.
Based on agency needs, additional positions may be filled using this vacancy.
