About the role:

The Samsara Workplace team is dedicated to delivering world class service to our employees. We provide them with the tools and resources they need to do the best work they can possibly do. As a Workplace Coordinator, your role will involve helping employees reach their fullest potential wherever they are (in-office 5 days a week).

In this role, you will:
  • Support the Workplace Manager/ Coordinator Team Leads by maintaining daily task allocation and floor walkthroughs
  • Monitor ticketing systems to ensure employee requests are being attended to in a timely manner
  • Work cross functionally to support all teams
  • Planning and setup of in-office events, partnering with our Events-Marketing teams
  • Administration of workplace ergonomic assessments, visits and complete actions
  • Support coordination and completion of all moves and furniture requirements with minimal disruption including keeping OfficeSpace plans updated
  • Assist in new office / floor openings, supporting our Workplace Programs team with logistical, on the ground coordination in lead up / post opening
  • Support Workplace Manager / Coordinator team lead in aligning within forecasted budgets, spend tracking
  • Ad hoc in office support and tasks throughout the day 
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices 

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • At least 2 years experience in an administrative, junior office role, customer service, or hospitality position, or, minimum of 1 year in a junior role at a startup or tech company
  • College degree or equivalent
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English language
  • Proficient in GSuite and Microsoft required, Slack/Zendesk ticketing experience is ideal
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise 

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Specific Workplace, Safety or Facilities Management experience is ideal
  • Vendor, contractor, supplier management experience an advantage
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Financial and budget planning experience is a plus
