About Monad

Founded by Jump Trading alums, Monad Labs is a tech startup using low-latency programming, compiler optimization, and multithreaded computing to build an ultra-high-performance smart contract platform. The work entails building an optimal stack-based VM that supports multithreaded computation, as well as developing and implementing an efficient Byzantine Fault Tolerant (BFT) algorithm enabling a network of nodes to come to consensus. We recently raised $225M in Series A funding to scale our team in bringing the Monad blockchain to production.

Monad Labs is looking for a Workplace Operations Associate to assist with all aspects of our in-office and remote operations for the entire team.  You will have cross-departmental responsibilities that require strong communication skills, organization, and collaboration with C-suite, Recruiting, the greater Operations team and more. We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented individual who thrives in a start-up environment and can juggle multiple work streams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of operational, administrative or related experience 
• Organized and proficient in calendaring, communication and document management tools (Notion, G-Suite, Slack)
• Proven time management skills with the ability to own and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with limited supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with prior experience managing both internal and external stakeholder expectations
• Based in NYC

What you’ll be doing

You will own all aspects of in-office and workplace administration, including cross-departmental initiatives. This will include the following:

• Ensure team and office operations run smoothly and be the onsite point of contact for vendors as needed
• Manage, order, and organize office inventory, catered lunches and refreshments
• Work closely with Operations team and cross-functional leaders to identify opportunities to enhance a positive employee and workplace experience
• Perform a varying scope of tasks based on the current needs of the organization, including assisting executives with personal tasks as needed

Salary and benefits

Minimum full-time salary of $90,000-$100,000 (**This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary; a final offer amount may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, domain expertise, and geographic location).
