Workplace Operations Manager
Job Description
Workplace Operations Manager
About Clear Street:
Clear Street is building modern infrastructure for markets. Outdated technology makes markets difficult and expensive to access. We're fixing that.
We started with prime brokerage, in an industry that has struggled to see any real innovation in decades. Our cloud-native, prime brokerage platform has redefined what it means to work with a prime broker - improving access, speed, and service to our clients.
We want to continue that change across all markets. Today, we offer institutions, professional traders, and brokers everything they need to trade U.S. equities and options. In the future, our platform will give all types of investors access to every major product in every major market.
The Team:
As our Workplace Operations Manager, you will work closely with executive leadership, IT, the People Operations team, and all employees to create and maintain best-in-class office experience at our main location in downtown Manhattan.
You Will:
- Own all aspects of facilities services and office operations for our 4 WTC Headquarters as well as our satellite offices
- Create a well functioning environment that enhances our employees ability to succeed while making sure the office is always client or investor ready
- Be the first point of contact for any office repairs by engaging with our employees, our building and vendors when issues arise
- Manage any required build outs, remodels, facilities-related equipment purchases, and services required in Clear Street offices.
- Have an opportunity to grow the Workplace management function in a fast growing Fintech company. You will have exposure to new and interesting problems and be supported by senior leadership in your role.
- Work with senior leadership to optimize space planning and accounting for growth in individual teams, and ensuring facilities and office related team needs are met.
Requirements:
- You've managed office operations and delivered a high level of customer service in an employee-centric environment.
- You have experience negotiating and managing outside vendor relationships and building management.
- You pride yourself on your ability to organize, prioritize, and problem solve.
- You're an exceptional communicator regardless of the medium and can interact with anyone
- You are creative and enjoy ideating on ways to improve the workplace experience
- You excel when working independently; you manage your time intelligently and prioritize your work effortlessly.
- You are proficient in MS Office Suite Applications and Google Workspace.
Bonus Points:
- If you have experienced the fast pace of a high-growth company.
- If you have an interest in finance and/or technology.
We offer:
- The opportunity to join a small and growing team of good people, where you can make a difference.
- A meritocratic philosophy that champions collaboration.
- Room to innovate, solve complex business problems and build new products.
- Competitive compensation, benefits, and perks.
The Base Salary Range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000. This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Where a candidate falls in this range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. This range represents Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The range stated does not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.
At Clear Street, we offer competitive compensation packages, company equity, 401k matching, gender neutral parental leave, and full medical, dental and vision insurance. Our belief has always been that we are better as a business when we are all together in person. As such, beginning on January 2, 2023, we are requiring employees to be in the office 4 days per week. In-office benefits include lunch stipends, fully stocked kitchens, happy hours, a great location, and amazing views.
Our top priority is our people. We’re continuously investing in a culture that promotes collaboration. We help each other through challenges and celebrate each other's successes. We believe that modern workplaces succeed by virtue of having high-performance workforces that are diverse — in ideas, in cultures, and in experiences. We put in the effort to make such a workplace a daily reality and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
