XML Schema Developer

Position: XML Schema Developer

Location: Germantown, MD

Duration: Long Term

Task Description:

XML Schema developer to design and develop Schemas using XMLSpy and follow W3C standards for XML and XML Schemas.

Primary Duties:

• Design and develop XML Schemas - 60%
• Design and develop Java/JEE components - 20%
• Perform unit and development level integration testing as needed - 10%
• Perform code maintenance based on needs of testing, customer testing, and production issues - 10%

Required skills/Level of Experience:

• XML and XML Schemas development – 5+ years
• XML Data files development – 5+ years
• Experience using a schema parser or tool like XMLSpy – 5+ years
• Java/JEE development – 5+ years
• Develop automated unit tests with JUnit – 4+ years
• Rational Software Architect or Eclipse or JBoss studio or XMLSpy – 4+ years
• Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest and Team Concert – 4+ years

Preferred skills:

• Experience with W3C specification for XML and XML Schemas
• Experience with Unix shell scripts like Korn Shell or Bash Shell
• Experience with XSL/XSLT development
