Yahoo Sports is the world's most popular digital sports destination for fans and fantasy players. Our mission is to report independently and without any interference on sports leagues, teams, organizations and events. We cover the news that fans want to know about their teams, whether real-life or fantasy.
We are looking for an intern with a strong journalism background and a passion for the digital landscape to support the Yahoo Sports team. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with reporting and telling stories through a variety of mediums. You should have a strong grasp of multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat) and feel comfortable contributing to them. You will be expected to work some nights and weekends.
A typical day at Yahoo Sports:

• Contributing content to our various blogs on Yahoo Sports
• Assisting our social media team with sharing content across various platforms
• Pitching, developing and executing enterprise story ideas
• Using our content management system to assist in programming the website and mobile app
• Traveling to on-site assignments (your own form of transportation is preferred)

• Assist audio and video teams in creating and promoting complementary story content

The compensation for this position ranges from $45,760.00 - $135,200.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about. Most roles don't require specific regular patterns of in-person office attendance.
