Yard Mule Operator- DuPont Schedule

Main tasks:

Yard Mule Operator will assist operations in an active drop and hook yard and container loading operation; driving and monitoring container yard entries possibly using a handheld computer or tablet. You will drive diesel powered tractor-trailer combinations to deliver/move products/materials around the facility to designated areas; maintain fuel/oil levels in the equipment as required. All tasks must be performed safely, efficiently and accurately.

Necessary qualification and experience:

• At least 1-year verifiable experience as a yard mule operator.
• Only safe drivers with excellent MVR & PSP score will be considered.
• Able to work outside in variable weather conditions including high-temperature summer months.
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and Level 4 background check.
• Read, write and fluent in English.
• Must have the ability to function effectively in a fast paced, team oriented work environment
• Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision and strong initiative
• Must be able to work (flexible hours) extended hours including nights, overtime, weekends, often with little or no prior notification and until operations are complete
• Valid Driver's License is required

Tasks:

• Operate Yard Mules, moving trailers between trailer yard and loading docks and logging all trailer moves to maintain accurate yard inventory. Perform all functions in accordance with operation and safety guidelines
• Maintain communication with dispatch operations utilizing a two-way radio
• Maintain a clean work area, free of debris or safety hazards and awareness of surroundings (i.e. vehicles, people, equipment, etc.) at all times
• Install container chassis supports where required
• Monitor and report operational activities
• A periodic check of Truck as per the checklist provided.

Physical Requirements:

• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, bend forward, squat, twist, pinch and reach overhead
• The employee is occasionally required to sit, grasp and exercise eye-hand coordination and eye-hand-foot coordination
• The employee is frequently required to reach forward, exercise repetitive foot and wrist motion and finger dexterity
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their fingers
• The employee is occasionally required to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of said PPE

Pay:

• $21 per hour to $23 per hour
